Resume

Dr.. Jing CHEN has gotten his Ph.D. degree from the Johns Hopkins University in 2005, under the guidance of Dr. Jacob B Khurgin.

As a doctoral supervisor in Nankai University since 2008, he has published over 80 papers in journals such as Phys. Rev. Lett. , Appl. Phys. Lett. , Opt. Lett. , etc., which have been cited over 1300 times.

He has been granted over ten research founding projects, including three from the National Natural Science Foundation of China.

Jing now devotes almost all his time in enjoying the life and educating his son to study anything excepts physics.

Research Fields

I am interested in transferring these concepts in condensed mater, solid states, and quantum physics to optics.

I prefer to use nano-optical structures such as metamaterials and photonic crystals to mimic these effects albeit the partical and optical wave are subjected to different wave equations.
